The Japanese Cultural Center & Tea House is a non-profit organization.  It serves the Great Lakes Bay Region and beyond by offering cultural experiences through programing while maintaining  3-acre Tokushima-Saginaw Friendship Garden and Awa-Saginaw-An, one of the most authentic and complete teahouse outside of Japan.

The City of Saginaw provides 50% of funds necessary for operations. The balance of funds required to operate come from program admissions (10%) and generous donors, businesses, and organizations within the community (40%).

To sustain our operation, we have formed the Tomodachi (Friendship) Society. As a donating member, you will be on our mailing list for all Cultural Center events. In addition, each year you will receive a special invitation to a tea ceremony held just for Tomodachi Society members.
